Blackfalcon typically materializes as a large obsidian-black bird of prey. While he is fully capable of changing his size on a whim, he is typically three or four feet tall, though he does become larger or smaller if necessary. He also appears to be fully capable of standing in midair without use of his wings and typically does so.
