Tired and broken hearted, Karen is a single mother who has only ever wanted a good life for her son, Kaidan. And she'd do anything to get it. As former law enforcement marksman, and an Iraq War veteran, Karen has many skills that make her a valuable member of the Caravan, even if her personality and her past drives everyone away.

Karen betrayed the Caravan to ensure the safety of her son and is still seeking absolution for her evil deed. She hoped to find this and a fresh start for her and her son at Fort Dixie. But those plans died with the Fort. Kaidan disappeared only one day after arriving there and hasn't been seen by the Caravan since.
