History: Kai'li grew up in a small coastal village, a place where everyone knew everyone. A place that was populated solely by shark-shifters. A long, long time ago, the village’s priest and Kai'li’s ancestor, made a deal with the shark god to kill the chief man who killed his sons. As payment, the god changed the priest, his family, and his followers into shark-shifters.

Kai'li grew up in the temple, be taught the legend and how to respect it. She was also being trained to take her father’s place as head of clan for when he passed. She also learned to surf. As she grew up, she participated in every surfing competition on the island, and won most of them. After graduating high school and learning control, her parents urged her to see the world before becoming tied down to the island and the temple. She was just finishing a competition  in Australia, when she got the call from her father to come back home early.
