Eli is a small boy with snow-white skin from all his time spent indoors. He's a slight runt for an 8-year-old, looking more like he's 6. He tends to wear goggles on his head, but it goes right along with the other equipment he tends to wear. Eli likes wearing a slightly faded, slightly dark blue.

Other: Eli has a love for nature in general, but he especially likes insects.


Background:
Eli has always had a knack for machines and has always been a bright boy. Born to a pair of loving parents, Eli has had a fairly normal childhood except for having his mutant power since birth and thus, having a nice secret hobby of playing with machines. Well... almost secret. Eli shows off well enough, but keeps his better projects a secret. It's pretty much been that way for little Eli until around the time he was 6. Officials from an organization run by the American government came knocking and asked for Eli to help out the military. His parents didn't want him involved in that so soon, so Eli has been getting small doses of visiting the Army Core of Engineers as field trips. The military hasn't gotten much use out of Eli yet, but they are patient and trying to earn Eli and his parents' trust. In recent history, Eli's parents heard about Mittens' group and decided it was a good place for Eli to be.


Personality:
Eli is unsocial, but will just as readily socialize and make friends if approached or stuck with other people and no machines to work on. He tends to love his machines and can be a little absent-minded when working on them, though doesn't mind talking while working. He doesn't understand violence like most guys do, having little to no interest in it. Eli loves learning, though, and enjoys the massive buzz of awe he gets from studying nature. Eli also has an unusual love for insects/arachnids. A number of his experimental robots and drawings for possible robots are based off the design of insects and such. Eli also likes having his arms and hands bare as his power makes him feel more connected with physical contact and thus, makes him feel immersed in his work.


Powers:
01) Tech Know How - Eli can repair and replicate most any technology, given the proper resources. Simple tech, like a windmill or radio, Eli can replicate from memory. Tech any more advanced than a remote control car, Eli has to study the original or have a schematic. Yes, Eli is a smart boy, but this is a power because it's way beyond what Eli would be capable of with just his mind alone.


Abilities:
01) Higher Learning - As Eli uses his power, he has a lot of hands-on experience with technological devices. He enjoys this gift of his much, so he actually has learned how some technology works and how to build it even if he somehow lost his power. Being only a kid, though, this includes a few simple devices like his remote control car, his keyboard, the doorbell at his house. More complex devices are not only more complex, but rarely get Eli's attention compared to more common household items. In this way, because Eli gives more attention to simple stuff, he is more familiar with how simple stuff works. Likewise, because he hasn't had much experience with more complex stuff, he needs his power in order to deal with that stuff.

02) Dexterous - Thanks to much practice with fiddling with tech, especially smaller tech, Eli has gotten his hands to be dexterous enough to do what his power permits him to do. He still occasionally drops a screw or has a hard time with especially small parts, but who doesn't?


Strength: Eli is a wimp. Even for a little boy. He can hold a glass full of milk, but he uses two hands.
Intelligence: Eli is a very very smart boy with an IQ of about 160. While he doesn't have much interest in history or language, he loves science and technology. See Powers and Abilities for more.
Endurance: Eli can't take a hit well or do physical activities for long. His endurance is low.
Agility: Eli has slightly less agility than a normal boy his age.
Awareness: Eli tends to have somewhat less awareness than normal people, but loses almost all his awareness when working on a project.
Charisma: Eli has next to no presence. His only saving grace is that he is a decent-looking boy, but even then, only a little above average there.
Willpower: Eli has next to no willpower when it comes to most things. He will do most anything anyone wants with little regard for himself or his opinions. If being pushed to do something completely contrary to his core values, he will either curl up and cry or run to the nearest trusted adult.
