"Completely unremarkable."  The first term that comes to the minds of most when they first look upon Rhys Meldran.  Lean, but not so lean to appear sickly (~160 lbs).  Taller than many, but short enough not to overtop a crowd (5'10").  Light brown hair, almost blonde, kept close to the sides and slightly spiked on top, but not enough to make an impression, even with his Elven features.  Bland, slightly distinguished features that could be from almost anywhere and are forgotten almost as soon as they are registered.  With the twin hilts of scimitars over his shoulders and darker clothes of modest cut, Rhys could blend into any crowd, whether it be merchants or guards, soldiers or academics, nobles or peasants, or even none at all.

As the saying goes, however, "watch the eyes, for they hardly ever lie."  The same can be said for Rhys, his brown eyes like so many others' until one looks closely and sees the canny intelligence behind them, like a hawk surveying the ground for dinner. There is also the small black tree device, signifying him as a Ranger of the Black Vale, displayed prominently on his lapel.
