History/Background: Smita has lived for 19 summers with her tribe. Growing up, she quickly became friends with a girl of her own age who seemed to be her twin sister when it came to things she valued or thought about. This friend was Nitika, and they basically grew up together.

When Nitika decided that she would become a warrior before she was to become a mother, Smita understood that decision well and also joined the other young warriors in training with weapons. She enjoyed that quite a lot and became a talented fighter, especially in close combat with her favorite weapon, the tomahawk.
