From a poor peasant family living along the Verglas river, Plourde left home at a young age to become a bandit.  The lure of digging for riverside shellfish seemed less than enticing.  Originally, he was little more than a poacher living in the Edge Forest.  Over the years, he has progressed to a bandit, one who likes his liquor too much.
