Uletna is a short, stockily built woman with the body of someone for whom physical exercise takes hours each day.  She has black hair which falls nearly to her waist when it isn't braided and used as padding for her conical helmet (which is the case most of the time).  Her left arm carries deep seared scars as if something burnt it badly but it still moves freely and with full dexterity.  Her skin is alabaster pale and almost sickly in colour despite her apparent health.

She generally wears a light leather outfit on a day by day basis consisting of light brown leather breeches and a darker leather jacket which finishes in short sleeves.  A grey hawk stooping to the kill is embroidered onto the breast of the jacket but it is otherwise devoid of decoration.  She normally wears a conical helmet with this as well as a heavy leather belt with two pouches, one on each hip.

When she is equipped for fighting she wears a cut down chain hauberk over the top of this outfit with the chain also having short sleeves and falling to her upper thighs.  The mail is clearly well cared for and carefully burnished. She also carries a strap arrangement which acts as a mount for two scabbards, a dire flail and a quarterstaff.  The two scabbards seem to contain longswords with strangely jagged hilts protruding above the scabbard edges.

Her weapons themselves are reasonably well made but mostly nothing special. She does carry a strange crossbow made of an almost black wood with dark steel mountings that is covered in writing of a strange language but her quarterstaff is little more than a well worn sapling stripped of its bark and her dire flail is of good craftsmanship but without distinguishing marks.
