Tihkal Farfeather is a native Shaaran of average height and slightly fuller build than most, perhaps indicative of a less physically demanding life. They have dark tawny skin, with almost orange undertones in the sun. Flecks of grey glitter in hazel eyes that dance with joy. Their nearly black hair hangs halfway down their back in a multitude of thin braids, woven with many tokens; three hawk feathers, a lion's claw, a shard of thunderglass, and a piece of broken shell, among others. Their clothing varies day to day, depending on their needs, but all cut from a loose linen-like cloth in browns and greens.

They're rarely seen without their staff and a slightly smaller than average hawk, Tahnee. Tahnee's plumage is a fading of browns into golds and reds, blending into orange, white, and tan at the tail. A curious fractal pattern of white and black makes his underwing difficult to look at at times.

Their staff stands just a hand above their head and is intricately carved with scenes of land and beast. Dunes, mountains, rivers, plains and forest; populated by lion, hare, gazelle, hyena, and eagle. A stunningly detailed carving of Tahnee caps the staff, just above a woven leather grip hung with feathers given by the raptor.
