Doctor Steel is about six foot tall, slim and looks as if he'd been born forty years later than he'd have liked. His shoes were well polished and well made, his hair was combed back into the kind of look that made Spitfire pilots look dashing in the Blitz, and underneath his labcoat, the clothes were the sort one expected to find in an office. They were, however, very well cut. He looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s.

His voice has a curiously neutral accent; while some of the vowels in his voice are starting to sound as if he's from Bay Point, he speaks in a very controlled manner. Rarely smiling or expressing any real emotion, he is not antisocial, but somewhat formal and focused.
