Tamish is a proud man but fair and open-minded. He came to the Southern Continent after being kicked out of his Norther trading family. When his uncle, the former Family Leader, had died after a lengthy illness, Tam fought his cousin for the leadership of the Family. He lost and his cousin exiled him from the Family.

His wife and children came with him South and after much exploration, he found a piece of paradise on the Green River. There he settled. Eventually, other holdless or disgruntled crafters and holders heard of his small settlement. Some came and went, some stayed. The Camp is now around 200 strong and scattered along the Green River. Most people live in the bend of the river Tam originally discovered but most of the residents don't like to be too crowded, Tam included.
