The first thing you see when you look at Sam is, likely, the scars. His dark brown skin is criss-crossed all over (at least in visible areas) with darker brown lines, all raised to give an odd texture. There doesn't seem to be any overarching pattern to the scars, but they're everywhere. His bright wide smile is probably the second thing noticed, followed by the short-cropped, tight-curled hair and an unremarkable frame (~165cm, ~90kg) that looks a bit pudgy. He has a pair of metal leaves hanging from a chain around his neck and wears unremarkable pants, shirt, and jacket.
