Physical Build/Description: Lean and muscular, he sports brownish blonde hair, and only slightly pale skin, indistinguishable from the human
race.
Disposition: While a full-blooded Zentraedi, Gerelt identifies more with humans than he does with Zentraedi.  To Gerelt, there is no difference between the two races except for how they developed over time.  He loves music, like his father, and can even play the piano which he enjoys, but not quite as enthusiastic.  Still, Gerelt does feel that old Zentraedi warrior spirit, but through his studies, he has seen that humans are more than capable of the same warrior spirit.  Perhaps they are one and the same as well.  Still, Gerelt struggles with the question of what it means to be Zentraedi now.  That said, Gerelt is fiercely loyal to his teammates and will fight to the death to protect them.  Because of his high I.Q., Gerelt is arguably one of the smartest Zentraedi alive.  His intellect could rival Exedore's, and sometimes, Gerelt wears his I.Q. on his sleeve.  However, he is working on his need to prove his intelligence.

Outlook on Earth:  Fiercely loyal to earth!  Earth is his new home, and micronians his adopted race.  Anyone who threatens them threatens him, and he will respond accordingly.

Prejudices & Paranoia:  Has a fierce prejudice against the Robotech Masters/Tirolians.  From what he has learned, the Robotech masters have been intergalactic bullies since long before they discovered protoculture on the Invid homeworld, Optera.  He will follow whatever orders given regarding the Robotech Masters/Tirolians, but he doesn't have to like it, and he will avoid socializing with them.

Background/History:
Gerelt Ashtar is a full Zentraedi, but his origins are unique.  He is the product
of a male and female Zentraedi union, one of the first natural Zentraedi births.
He grew up with the UEEF, and it was only natural that he joined the service.

His mother served under commander Azonia and was a squadmate with Quadrano Leader,
Miriya Parina Sterling.  His father served under Commander Breetai, and was the one
who brought Exedore to the SDF-1.  His father tells an exciting story about that
episode.  Later, his dad all but abandoned fighting after the final conflict of
the first Robotech war, and became a world-famous pianist, while his mother joined
the human Robotech Defense Force with a recommendation from her former battlefield
commander.

Both volunteered to join the expeditionary force and serve on the SDF-3.  His father
maintains the officer's club while his mother is a member of the Joker Veritech Squad.
