Suspiciously average looking, Merrick doesn't go out of his way to make any kind of first impression.  The young man tends to dress just slightly under the occasion, while seemingly able to find an outfit to match the ambiance despite packing with striking thrift.  Still, dull colors and a lack of gaudy bits and bobs is usually the order of the day; the only remarkable thing about his clothing being a seemingly never ending supply of pockets full of knickknacks and other junk.
