Yona Tosken is small for her age (almost sixteen), which just makes her look younger still.

She has dark eyes and brown hair, and normally dresses in clothes which are clearly hand-me-downs.  Usually from somebody who seems to have been slightly larger.

She is quiet - too quiet, according to her family - and thoughtful.  She seldom plays with other children, and normally keeps herself to herself.  Some of this might be due to her having a bad leg, and needing a stick to help her walk.

All in all, her brown hair, small size and quietness tend to make people think of small animals.
