When he wants to, Thapsi can look like a normal halfling. He is a bit on the short side for a male halfling and about average weight for his height. He has soft brown eyes and black hair with a hint of a wave to it, which he usually wears shoulder length. So when he wears standard clothing, there really is nothing that sets him apart from other halflings.

But usually, he does not look like a normal halfling. He prefers to wear nothing more than a loincloth with an orange sash around his waist and another, with red and yellow accents, across one shoulder. A red veil, studded with a few garnets, holds his hair out of his eyes, and his body is marked with paints, often of two starkly different colors.  His belt holds a dagger, a sickle, a sling, a wand, and a belt pouch. His back is covered with scars, but not the erratic scars of battle, rather scars that indicate at some point in his past he was flogged severely.
But as he is often on the road expecting danger, he usually wears a suit of armor that looks as if it was made from lacquered holly and mistletoe leaves.

He is never far from his trusty companion, and indeed can usually be found riding him. Gargin is a large male water spaniel riding dog with curly chocolate brown fur and purplish-brown eyes. To those familiar with riding dogs, it is clear that Gargin has an impeccable heritage, but would probably not command a high price on the market given that he has an ear mostly torn off and his tail looks as if it was cut at about half it’s length sometime long ago. Gargin usually has on a bridle, a leather collar with some sort of teeth strung along part of its length, and saddlebags. Thapsi rides without a saddle.
