Standing just under 6 feet tall with medium length, unkempt, black hair and dark brown, almost to the point of black, eyes; Alisdair cuts an unassuming, unthreatening figure, but small bullet scar across his right temple should warn that he is not entirely what he seems.

When not working, he wears a an ankle-length black leather trench coat; a slightly worn long-sleeved cream-coloured shirt; a worn, silver embroidered, blue waistcoat; faded black trousers and black, steel-toe capped boots. All of this is kept in as immaculate condition as possible, and he has multiple sets of each item (in various stages of mild disrepair).
Alisdair comes across to most people as cold, clinical and brutal. He will do just about any job, and he will do it in the most efficient way he can.

He likes guns, string music, scientific literature and debate (of any subject: he enjoys hearing lectures on magic theory as much as reading manuals on mechanical concepts, although he has no real expertise on the matters), and opera. He’s an intellectual, but not a specialist.
