Being of average height for a Quarren, Nessquik appears sickly otherwise.  He is underweight and his skin, which is normally a pale pink color like that of Humans who can't tolerate much sun exposure, has bright red patches where he has dry rashes.  The rashes are from not getting enough water.  The Rebellion officer's uniform he wears is threadbare and doesn't fit his underfed frame.  This is because Nessquik is a humble being enough to make sure that those who go out and fight get the first pick of supplies.  Being only a lowly stock officer, he doesn't feel he should get the best supplies.  And even if he did get nice things out of the supply crates, his superiors would immediately suspect him taking a five-fingered discount.
