The twenty year-old Dan stands about six feet tall, with long legs and a solid physique. He has thick, dark brown hair that is always well cared-for, generally parted to the side. His eyes are also dark brown and expressive, particularly when angred. His lips are thin and a touch further from his nose than one would expect. Daniel's cheekbones are a bit on the high side, giving his cheeks a slightly hollow look. He never wears a beard, choosing to shave every morning with his straight razor. His skin tone is light, though he tans easily, and his hands look like they've seen a bit of hard work, yet not enough that they're rough or overly calloused.

Daniel’s attire generally consists of a starched, white shirt and dark brown trousers held up with dark brown suspenders. The suspender and trouser fastenings are an antique brass, though they appear to be polished often enough. When in the barbershop or on the train, he wears brown socks and dark brown leather shoes to complete the ensemble. If he finds himself riding or otherwise engaged in activities that might dirty his ensemble, he wears a dark brown duster, and a dark brown fedora.

Like most barbers, Dan is interested in striking up conversation with just about anyone, though he's not a compelling orator. His smile comes easily and often, and he enjoys his work clipping hair and shaving chins, necks, and cheeks. Outside the barber shop, he can sometimes act a bit withdrawn or moody, though he can snap out of it rather quickly if it comes to his attention.
