Sal has been involved in criminal enterprises since the age of 14, when he began working at a pizza shop that was a front for the mafia. He'll never forget the smell of dough and odd thrill of delight when plying out a snitch's teeth in the backroom.

He's made a few handy friends in his day and some enemies to boot. That isn't even counting law enforcement. He's on their radar, but is cunning enough that they can't find anything solid enough to convict him on.

He largely acts as a conman and extortionist. He's the brains and the sweet talk behind smuggling rings, sometimes acting as the middleman in coordinating deals. If there's something questionable, illegal, with a big opportunity for profit Sal has likely had a hand in it.

There's something magnetic about his personality- not necessarily in a likeable way, but in the way nutjobs get cult followings and convince their fellows to down cyanide. He draws people in from curiosity, be it morbid or otherwise. Weaker personalities might find him self-assured, stronger ones can weasel out his cunning and slippery double-talk. He's an asshole but at least he's a funny asshole.

Something about him just projects he can show you a good time, maybe get in a bit of trouble along the way. He speaks energetically, is prone to snark and subtle digs, yet people keep coming back to him. If only to tell him off. But hey, they still come back.

Appearance wise, typically well-dressed business casual, favouring brands on the expensive side. Black hair, light brown eyes, an olive complexion, straight white teeth. Usually sucking a peppermint to combat the smell of cigarette smoke, but his jacket usually has the lingering aroma despite best efforts. His accent is undoubtedly NYC.
