In Stovakor, Reed is known to be a handsome (if unappealingly delicate-looking) young man who settled in a few years back to start a family and became the best healer in the city. He has something of a reputation as an unconventional scholar who builds or writes down odd things that no one else would care about- though occasionally his ideas are of some use. Reed had a wife and child who moved to Kohar with a family friend named Kerigan.

Reed dresses in the style of a scholar and healer- light shirt, dark vest and pants with the red kilt of the healer. He has the fair skin and coloration of those who come from the north and has delicate features that make him look boyish.

What most don't know is that Reed is actually a woman. Born in the icy lands of Normidia, she left home when her gender prevented her from doing anymore than prepare to be a wife. She decided to live as a man from that day and spent a few years as the navigator of a ship before coming to Stovakor. She moved to the city when her future-wife became impregnated after a dalliance with a man who left and her wife's father, a scholar of some note in the city, needed someone to protect her reputation. It was a mutually beneficial agreement.

Reed has to bind her breasts down and wears clothes that do not fit too tightly to her figure.
