Rhexx, and other Lizardmen of his type, have less the appearance of humanoid crocodiles, and more of a pseudo-saurian, maybe slightly draconic appearance. Rhexx' tail, too, is different, having less the crocodilian thickness and ridges, and looking more like the smooth, supple, scaly tail of a Monitor Lizard. His hands - which he simply calls 'claws' - have three fingers and an opposable thumb, each tipped with a heavy, sharp, non-retractable claw. His almost-Human looking feet - which he calls 'talons' - have three large, non-retractable claw-tipped toes, plus a fourth dewclaw-like toe which angles away from the inner side of each foot, about halfway back.

Of course, the legends of his people say that, in antiquity, they really did descend from Dragons - but true Dragonkin are quick to point out the distinctions. Usually with a lot of bloodletting involved.

Rhexx, himself, is quite cosmopolitan and seems to fit in well with human culture and civilization - but also never forgets his native reptilian society.

Rhexx is something of a wanderer, and has come to realize that there are more environments than those his people normally settle in, so he has adopted the human vice of wearing clothes - even custom-made boots, when the occasion calls for them. His usual gear of choice is red and gold robes with a tri-corner hat in red with gold trim. A wide leather belt cinched at his waist has several dangling pouches - the heavy pistol butt of a double-barreled pistol sticks up from the belt in such a manner that it's obvious he would cross-draw it with his right claw. A heavy, functional dagger also hand from the wide belt, on his left hip, near the pistol - obviously intended to be wielded in the left claw.

Rhexx is often accompanied by a viper - which he has named 'Shultzee' (he explains that that is what she calls herself) - with gem-like bands of wide black, narrow gold, wide crimson, and narrow gold, repeated down her entire 24-inch length. Rhexx often talks at Shultzee, and while the viper does appear to respond to him, it never produces anything but soft hisses.

Shultzee can most often be found underneath the clothing Rhexx is wearing, usually coiled loosely around his neck, enjoying what warmth can be found there. She will often poke her diamond-shaped head up through the collar of his clothes, or slide down his arm, under his sleeve, or drop, unseen, down his back onto the floor behind him. It should be taken for granted that Shultzee is quite venomous.
