Captain Isabella Waterstone, a.k.a Hydro is a stunningly beautiful (PB 23) young human lady in her early 20s, of average height (5'6") for a woman from the United Kingdom in the 1960s. She moves with a cat-like natural grace, and has the eye movements of someone who is always assessing the background.

When the going get's tough, the reason for Hydro's sobriquet becomes clear as she transforms into a body made totally of water.





1945
Isabella Waterstone was the only daughter of General (British Army) and Mrs Waterstone. General Waterstone was World War II  was ending, and her father was assigned to be in charge of Hong Kong's armed forces post world war II. He didn't care for the locals, so brought in a Korean Nanny. Jikyeong Nguyen (pronounced Chick Young Win). For the first few years of her life, she didn't see much of her father. She was being brought up as an Army Brat. As the general's daughter she was picked on a lot, and her nanny taught her the external aspects of the Nguyen family style of martial arts.


1950-1953 Korean War
The Korean War changed a lot of things. General Waterstone was assigned to liase with the US forces in Korea. He made what proved to be a fatal mistake, and took his wife and child on a trip there. The helicopter was shot down, and only Isabella survived. She wandered alone on the island for 6 months, hiding from the locals. During that time it was only her Nannies teaching that kept her alive. Not the physical side, but the mental attitudes of oppose hard with soft, and soft with hard. It was at the young age of 8 that she mastered her chi.

Army orphan
The army brought her up as an orphan. Her father's will held enough money to keep Jikyeong Nguyen as her servant, and Isabella through herself into the arts, as well as the army life.

1964
Lieutenant Isabella Waterstone stood to attention, officer school complete. Third in her year. Traditionally the number 1 and number 2 were allowed to pick her destination. She was not pleased to hear of her designated first tour

"You're assigned to MI6. They want an army liason, and you are selected. You've been carefully chosen" Isabella didn't believe that: she knew how these things worked. "Do you have any problems with this.". "No Sir!" was the only possible answer.

MI6 proved interesting. It turned out they had selected Isabella carefully. They were looking for people that had mastered their Chi to form a special group. The "Wierd Shit Group".

1965
(Start of last campaign)
Isabella looked at the Advert

"Are you sure this is a sensible thing to do", she asked her boss Major Payne. "Sure" the Major said "if it was dangerous they wouldn't be testing it on humans. One of the lab techs there works for our target, and we want you to make contact with the tech". Isabella knew that 'make contact' meant 'use feminine charms'.

The Major was wrong. Of the 20 people in the drug trials, 17 died. She and the other two appeared to die: she even had the death certificate framed. She and the two others woke in the back of a van on the M1 motorway being taken north. Breaking out she discovered that she and the other two had developed seriously weird powers. She was indeed in the Weird Shit Department now

The drugs were part of an experiment by L Ron Hubbard. He was looking for a way to alter perception so that he could make contact with alien minds, and negotiate with them for power.

1967
The Scientologists had almost won. L Ron Hubbard's goal to turn the world into a giant diamond was only a few steps away. Isabella looked at her team mates. They had fought many battles with Hubbard's Cthuluesque creatures. Now was the climax: if they could kill Hubbard today, his plan would be foiled. They had tracked him down to one of the ships in his Sea Org, all that was needed was to infiltrate and kill. Captain Isabella looked at her team mates..."Let's do this" she said...

...and then it all went horribly wrong... One of Hubbard's creatures threw Isabella into the Temporal Distortion Psychogenic machine and she was thrown through time and space.

Lost in time and space
Floating naked in the vacuum in the middle of nowhere, Isabella contemplated her options. She didn't need to breath, but in a day or so she was going to get very thirsty. She was just starting to contemplate desperate options, when an alien invasion fleet passed by. One of the tenders was sent out to retrieve their new prisoner: it's not every day you come across a naked human in space.
