Spore presents a bit of a problem when trying to describe. Most people are not sure if Spore is a Prefect, or if Spore should be considered "Spores, the Prefects." Spore might not be a he, a she, or even a person at all. Spore might be, unfortunately, a sorcerous hive mind of some sort. No one knows where Spore came from. Spore might be the result of a sorcerer losing control of a ritual of the highest order, a type of insentient magic back lash and force of magic. Or, Spore might be what was once a powerful sorcerer, now transformed into to the hive mind that people see today.

No matter what the case may be, people do know one thing; Spore is terrifying. Spore is a collection of zombies and other kinds of undead, spread across all of Ovairm (and potentially even other continents). Some are little more than mindless bags of rotting flesh, susceptible to any little whim of hunger and the slightest exertion of force behind a sword. Others are more complex, showing different characteristics that include, but are not limited to, a show of sentience that matches that of human beings, incredible resilience to both common physical force and sorcery, taking the undead bodies of humans and animals alike, and mutation or transformation.

Many people in the Empire of Webs live in the constant presence of Spore. It is a life fraught with tension, to be sure. No one knows when they will become a part of Spore.
