Physical Appearance:  Xander stands 6'7" tall with a lean, muscularly compact physique. His hair is a natural olden blonde that falls in short loose curls with soul-piercing blue-green eyes. His chiseled features are a perfect blend of his mother's and father's 9th incarnation. Xander generally favors jeans, boots, and jumpers paired with a familiar worn leather jacket over anything fashionable - 'sides as not only is his preferred look classic but is also very practical with his lifestyle.

Personality:  Xander has many of his father's 9th incarnation personality quirks; blunt, snarky, a bit unforgiving, and merciless when wronged, and at times a more than tad bit condescending (only those he feels are being idiots - which is nearly everyone). He is usually calm and in control of himself at all times, given he knows how powerful he is in comparison to others. Like his father, Xander is undoubtedly a hands-on type, but unlike his old man - Xander isn't afraid to get physical when the need arises (leading to more than a few arguments between father and son in the past). However, Xander has inherited his mother's heart and her fierce loyalty to family. He is protective of the few friends he has gained. He also inherited the infamous Tyler temper, though he is much slower to build and more explosive to release.

Background: Xander was conceived during The Doctor's Ninth incarnation, when The Doctor, Rose, and Captain Jack Harkness dealt with a small problem in the Novrosk Peninsula regarding a Russian submarine and a particularly nasty viral strain they discovered.

His conception being a surprise is putting it mildly when they found out during their adventure in Kyoto. It was one of the only times that Rose and Jack ever saw the Time Lord faint. Working through some emotional discussions, Nine is secretly thrilled at the prospect of being a father. But also terrified because of the number of enemies he has made over the centuries.

However, any future plans were put on hold because of Game Station and the Dalek Armada events. In taking in the Time Vortex to save the Doctor and Jack, Rose exposed not only herself but her unborn child. It was a good thing then that the Tardis had foreseen this necessity and bonded some of the essences of the Vortex and the Bad Wolf, combining them and weaving it through the very genetics of both mother and child before hiding it away until a later time.
