Background: Alexander left England, and a career his parents had planned out for him, in order to travel the world and learn from the university of life after he graduated from Cambridge. He ha a natural talent for making friends and a thirst for the hunt, which eventually led him into the Big Game business. While there are those who look down upon such things, he dismisses them as foolish.

Man has a innate urge to hunt, to dominate, to kill... and he considers his direction to be better than those who exercise such desires by joining the Military or other careers, where man is the prey instead of the beasts of the Jungles and Savannah's.

In Africa found a town to settle down in... with his skills at tracking, hunting and acting as a guide developing over the years until he became an expert. Partially because of what he had learned, partially because he has outlived most of the other guides, who often end up making fatal mistakes with either animals or with tribes and poachers.

He has developed a good relationship with many of the locals and several tribes who come into the town to trade. He also acts to discourage any travellers who are foolish enough to want to wander the wilderness alone, or with just a map and a compass to act as a guide. There are many dangers, not just from wild animals.. but from men, and white females are especially at risk. Thus, when a university contacted him about the need for a guide for one of their scholars, a woman, he knew he had to accept... as a white woman in these parts would be ravaged to rags if she took one step away from suitable protection... not simply by white slavers, but by anyone with a lust and a craving for European delights.

Of course, while he was capable of protecting her from external threats she would still face a potential problem... there would be no one to protect her from him. He was only human, after all, and if she was even slightly attractive he knew he would be hard pressed to keep his intentions and thoughts pure for very long.
