Alexander Beauregard (AB) Pierce

NAME:
Alexander Beauregard (AB) Pierce

POSITION:
Staff Sergeant US Marines (US Embassy security detail London, UK)

AGE:
38

GENDER:
Male

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
AB Pierce was a fairly big man standing at 6 ft 3 (191cm) and weighing in at 230 lbs (104kg). He has Sandy brown hair that is only a hair out of regulation US Marine guidelines, hooded brown eyes, and he is very physically fit as is a common trait among military servicemen. His blocky frame and features however hints at a Slavic ancestry.

HISTORY:
Pierce was born in the swamps of south Louisiana in a small town called Cocadrie. There wasn't any hospitals or doctors anywhere nearby. The old creole woman from his mother's church helped birth him while Pierce's father was at sea on his shrimp boat trawling to keep the bank paid off.
He spent his childhood as much amongst the cypress and palmettos hunting alligator and nutria as he did in school. He preferred the quiet solitude of his own company as he paddled his pirogue through the still black waters. He taught himself how to track the wild and plentiful game of the wetlands. When AB was 12 his mother passed away from cancer and his father crawled into a bottle. His father stayed at sea longer and longer until one day he never returned at all. AB had never been the best of students and had quit in the tenth grade to work as an apprentice at a local boat yard but he knew that he could never get ahead without an education. He worked during the days and studied by hurricane lamp at night and finally passed his GED at 19. The next day he packed a bag of clothes and walked the 90 miles into New Orleans to the United States Marine Corps recruiters office and enlisted. He found a home among the rag tag recruits and developed a deep sense of pride and brotherhood with his squadmates. He was first deployed to the US military complex in Oman. It was there he watched on September 11 2001 as two airliners smashed into the World Trade Center. On September 12 his entire platoon submitted written requests for transfers to  active combat units. Not all were selected however including Pierce. He spoke to his CO and after a long discussion the Colonel approved his request to transfer home to train as a Scout Sniper. 4 months later with his fresh new MOS Cpl Pierce transferred to the 5th Marines second Battalion en route to Iraq.
After 4 consecutive tours AB finally rotated home. He wore his decorations with pride but never spoke of his experiences there. After two years home he grew weary of US politics and began searching for other options abroad. He applied and was accepted for embassy security duty in Moscow and later London.
He was on duty when the station chief ordered Condition Black, a full security lockdown of the grounds and Embassy. The epidemic burned through the city like wildfire. From his perch atop The embassy he had a commanding view of the surrounding chaos and terror but the gates held firm. On the third day his ammo nearly spent he radioed the quartermaster for a resupply and food when the embassy steward came with ammunition and MREs he was relieved. He quickly refilled his magazines and tore open a packet of "meatloaf". As he ate there was a booming crash in the courtyard. He sprang to his feet and rushed back to his position. There was nothing he could do. The heavy gates had broken and hundreds of infected poured into the compound. He fought like hell and although exhausted and lost he somehow made it out of the city...
