Lady Edith Wallingford is a calculating, ambitious, manipulative woman who has been married three times; Lord Simon Wallingford, Earl of Leith, her latest conquest.  She is still attractive and uses it to her full advantage. Each marriage has brought her up in social standing, from a simple Vicar's daughter to a lady and peer of the realm. Many say she is not done yet, though, time is running out, they chuckle.

She's never had children.  Wallingford, having been married before, is already well blessed with heirs and thus the need for more was unnecessary.  She enjoys his fortune though and is known to have fabulous parties.  Her famous indoor picnic became the talk of the season when it first was introduced.  Since then it has only become more and more opulent and creative each year.

This year there is going to be an indoor waterfall and an actual running 'brook' through the ballroom.  Invitations have already been sent and the Ton was anxious to see what wonders the Lady produced for them this time.
