Northport

At the far reaches of old empire, built on the ruins of a more ancient civilization lies the city of Northport.  The terminus of caravan routes at the border land between an imperial state collapsed into barbarism and orc infested steppes, Northport was repopulated after being decimated by plague by mercenaries, refugees, and fortune seekers.
Forged out of an illegitimate union between three abandoned mercenary companies, the members of a former thieves guild and a consortium of half trained wizards known as the Unclaimed Journeymen's Association, the Northport Adventurers' Guild has become a center of recruitment for all manner of roguery. It is a jumping off point for expeditions and a site for tournaments in simulated combat and mock exploration of the extensive tunnel system beneath the cobbled together fortress which houses its complex, as well as a place to pawn "found" treasures, an inn of sorts and a drinking hall and a sanctuary from the law.
Membership in the guild may be temporary or lifelong, and in the case of those who die owing the guild, perhaps for longer than a lifetime.

Welcome to Northport, a greater hive of scum and villainy you will not find!

Disclaimer:
This game uses a blend of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy and DFRPG.

This game contains minimally graphic depictions of violence, and there are corporeal and incorporeal undead,  demons, spiders, tentacle monsters, magic, non human sentients treated as people, suggestions but not depictions of consensual adult behavior, and occasional minimal references to (but never depictions of) nonconsensual activity.
There may also be mild discussion of racism in fantasy races, for the purpose of articulating the motivations of villains.

At no time will there be a loss of character agency, although things like illusions may alter the perceptions, and some spells can alter temporary reactions, but can be resisted.
If you are interested in playing, but have further questions or reservations, please address them in your RTJ and we will find a way to accommodate.
