Description

Appearance: Catarina isn't impressive size wise, it is all attitude. Beautiful by any standards, her dark eyes don't miss a thing while dark hair that hangs halfway down her back just frame a face that is all high cheek bones under dusky olive skin. Her features are an exotic mix of an Italian father and a Celtic mother, strength and sensuality in a potent mix.  No nonsense but definitively feminine with her swaying hips and tumble of dark curls.Quick to smile, she is friendly and engaging and curved in all the right places. As a Chef, her usual uniform is a Chef's jacket and dark slacks, thick hair in a strict bun. Off duty she favors light and floaty, craving a feminine look after a long day in a hot kitchen. She dresses like a gypsy, flowing skirts, bright colors and often the soft whisper of bells from god knows where, but she is known to wear jeans as well.

Personality: Catarina is a chef, and her personality fierce, driven by the one goal in her life, to be just like her father but with much more success behind it. Highly organized and driven, she is ruthless when it comes to getting what she wants and has no issues on how she gets it. Catarina knows her affects on men and women and will use this to her advantage to wheedle or seduce to her own ends. On the surface, she can be sweet and charming, underneath a viper if crossed, and when she does allow anyone close, she will protect those few with vicious finality. Cata speaks Italian as well as English and will curse at those who anger her in a mixture of the two as those who work under her in the kitchen know all to well as she does not tolerate incompetence or bullshit.

History: Catarina had a pretty pedestrian childhood. Small house in Santa Anna was big enough for her Mother and Father, her little sister Delores and her. They had little money, but it was happy and uneventful. His father worked as a cook at the local Italian eatery, her mother did odd seamstress jobs to make ends meet.

After long years of scrimping and saving her daddy finally had enough money to buy his own place, a little pizzeria that specialized in home cooked pasta and amazing combinations that Cata delivered in her beat-up car at the tender age of 16. That was the life she knew...working in the back and slaving at her daddy's side, a lifetime of Italian classics in her brain that had been passed on from generations on his side of the family. The business was a moderate success, but never the grandiose restaurant her father had dreamed of, and with making his dreams come true, Cata managed to get accepted to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago.

That became her life after high school, working and going to classes and never a moment inbetween for herself, but she kept it up, even when a jog in the early morning hours along the loop and into the park got her a little more than she bargained for, something tore into her small body and when she woke up, bleeding and forearm shattered, Cata was sure that her life was over...dreams like dust on the Chicago breeze. But she healed, perfectly and fast as well, surprising doctors and her parents as well, but while delivering at deep dish combo a month later, the full moon revealed what exactly had attacked her that night. She disappeared into Lincoln Park and came out the next morning naked and lost, police searching for her when she didn't appear and her car was found abandoned.

Good on her feet Catarina made up a good story, attacked in the dark and pulled into the park for a sexual assault....with generic descriptions to boot.  They gave her a typical SAE kit, found nothing of course, and a vaccine to boot. It was too late for her, already infected, but it looked good and she was given a thumbs up and promises of swift justice that never seemed to pan out. But she came clean to her father later on, and with the same Italian determination that had opened that pizzeria, he found the local shifter community and Cata the help she needed. He knew that her being a lycanthrope could be fatal to her hopes and dreams, so he kept her with him while she learned control from the local pack, and protected her as he could. Her mother..well she never could deal with her daughter being a monster and that rift widened, finally destroying the marriage and she moved to greener pastures after a divorce that her father really didn't contest.

That and years of hard work finally took their toll, and after a heart attack, her father sold the pizza place, letting his daughter start fresh and stayed in Chicago, where the Italian half of her family still lives.

Current Status: Catarina kept working after joining the pack, making executive chef within two years and has come to New York to open her own restaurant, the backing in place and just aching to make a splash in a town overrun with people and dime a dozen places to eat. A Italian home style restaurant with seafood as a major component, the place has just opened, the first buzz beyond stellar but she still has work to do. Catarina will cater here and there for special friends..including any of the packs contacts, and the Master of the City when needed.

Currently...Cata wanders the streets in black jeans and a simple black tshirt, scooped neck showing off flawless alabaster skin. Her black leather jacket is the only protection against the NYC weather, while Doc Martens keep her feet protected from the elements and other New Yorkers.
