At first glance, Zuriel Siléndril looks typical for a Highborn Paladin of the Emerald Flame. Wearing the tabard and cloak of his order over his chainmail, shield slung over his back and longsword at his side, Zuriel is equipped for battle and prepared to meet Evil with force of arms wherever he encounters it. His face bears the angled features and fair complexion of the highborn, with wavy dark hair that sweeps past his tapered ears.

Upon closer inspection, however, a keen eye might discern several subtle differences setting the paladin apart from the norm for his kin. He is taller than the average elf by a fair margin, though not enough to be particularly obtrusive. His movements lack the characteristic easy liquid grace of the elves, though he moves with a purposeful confidence. His build is more hardy than slight, and his limbs are a bit more heavily muscled. Again, nothing obvious, but subtle differences a careful observer might pick up on.

What sets him most apart, though, are his eyes. Slightly almond shaped and slanted like the rest of his kind, they are a bright, vibrant amber, almost golden, in contrast to the darker earth tones or light blues and greens common to elves. And though it may just be the softness of relative youth, his eyes seem to shine not with the arrogance and zeal typical of Highborn in general and servants of the Church's military order in particular, but rather with genuine warmth and kindness. Indeed, in his interactions with others, the paladin seems to possess an earnestness such that it is difficult to feel ill at ease in his presence.
