A shaman of the Nightsisters and granddaughter of the clan mother, Luara is a highly respected witch and one of the designated "diplomats" of the clan. Little is known of her past, as the names and histories of the Nightsisters and other Dathomiri tend to not spread very far from the planet they inhabit.

Because Luara has been off-world once before, however, to meet with Darth Xari, a little is known about her. She is tall with thick red hair that is almost unnaturally luminous. Her skin is pale and also seems to glow slightly. Around her neck is an ancient talisman depicting a spirit in flight. She looks to be in her twenties, but is said to be older—perhaps much so. She does not, however, show any of the broken blood vessels that are common in the Nightsisters. Notably, she wields a lightsaber, which has a century or two of age to it.
