Nurzhan is a full-blooded orc, standing at 6' tall and weighing 200 lbs. He golden, amber eyes, wavy black hair that is always a mess, and green skin typical of his ancestry. Nurzhan is heavily-built, and is stronger than most men, though perhaps not stronger than the strongest orc. His eyes hint at his learned upbringing and education, quite unusual for an orc. Even more unusual is his impeccable hygiene for an orc, with his soap and mirror and other grooming effects that gives him a neutral smell to the civilized races. Nurzhan tries to speak in as gentle a voice as his natural harsh orcish voice will allow him, at least to the common races, but he does not moderate his voice when speaking to the "monstrous" races.

He wields a powerful longbow that few aside from himself can pull, and well-balanced two-handed sword as a backup weapon. He wears leather armor reinforced with metal rivets and wears a large quiver of arrows and a sturdy backpack on his back. Attached to his backpack are a bedroll for comfortable sleeping on the go, a grappling hook and fifty feet of rope for climbing up onto an elevated shooting platform, a crowbar for opening up loot, a waterskin for quenching his thirst on the long journey home, and finally, a shovel for digging holes to relieve himself on, so his biological functions do not mar the scenery.
