Amathaon grew up in the Principality of Ulek. He grew up in the mountains of the area and became quite adept at climbing mountains. His father decided that he should learn a real trade and Amathaon was apprenticed to a woodworker/cabinet maker. He learned the basics of the job, but he prefered cutting gems. So he began learning this profession. While doinng this, Amathaon started stealing, little things at first, then more expensive items. When he could, he left home and began his life as a thief. Amathaon used his knowledge of woodworking to allow him to case out places under construction, as well as places that were getting new furniture.  So far, he considered himself fairly successful.
  Amathaon is four foot tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown longish hair and a beard. He's considered fairly handsome, for a dwarf.
