Once the butt of the village, 'Elmo the drunk' was forever having the **** taken out of him.  He seemed to take it all in his stride which was a bit wobbly.

Following the second trip to the moathouse he sobered up rapidly and has proven to be an able, if slow on the uptake, ranger. Strangely his local accent disappeared at the same time.

Possibly it and the drunken performance was an act, possibly the DM got fed up trying to reproduce it....
