Standing at just over five feet, with shoulders that are over three feet wide and a body that entirely fills out that frame, this shield dwarf has a presence that leaves few able to make jokes at his races expense around him. However, with a full head of silver hair and the eponymous beard of the same color that gives him his name, Garin Silverbeard certainly seems to have all the initial hallmarks of the stereotypical gruff dwarf that is so often met in the North.

Rarely seen outside of his full plate armor, that an appraising eye can tell is made from dark adamantine that has been meticulously embossed with silver, Silverbeard also proudly displays the decorative tabard of white cloth and three silver embroidered stars that covers his chest and goes down past his knees. With the embroidered trim of silver moons, patterned in various phases, matching the same moons in silver along his armor, it is clear he is a heavy adherent of Selune and a high ranking part of the Silver Stars order.

The mind boggling heavy great warhammer that is propped on his shoulder while reviewing the guard that trains under him, or even more frightening when he is in combat, occasionally glows with his goddess given powers, almost seeming to be a chunk of the moon itself with its light.

Garin Silverbeard is the current head of the Silver Stars in the Yartar chapter, as well as the only Silver Star in the Yartar chapter, excluding his novice and apprentice Lyanna. While not the head of the shrine there, he is head of its military arm and more often the one looked to leadership over the Oracle, even if he often bows to her wisdom. Long a warrior for Selune, he had a very successful adventuring career in his youth, but now focuses on bringing the influence of his goddess into the city and the North, while always trying to expand his order.
