Buggy is at heart a really scummy guy.
He’s caviler if it serves a purpose; otherwise he defaults to being charismatic, highly intelligent, and scheming [and always getting himself into and out of more trouble than anybody has a right to].
He’s like a loveable and cagy buffoon flying by the seat of his pants into danger, all the while claiming he has things covered [if he does or doesn’t is up to the audience, but he often lands on his feet, although crashing the burning is also very characteristic of Buggy].
Almost everything he does is building on a long self-serving con.
People tend to either love Buggy or hate him.

Half of the prison will rally behind him based purely on his charisma and the favors he’s done for them.  The other half want to kill him [probably because those favors came at their personal expense].

When we meet Buggy he wants the reporters help smuggling something out of the prison in exchange for acquiring the vin numbers on the drugs.

He’s gotten himself mixed up in a plot to kill a man named Vincent Compardo (a mortal enemy who is very popular in the prison) to pay off a debt he owes to a crew of Chinese mob bosses.

Unfortunately Vincent has a cult like following among a rival gang and his friends are out for blood.
By the time the reporters arrive, Vince is dead and Buggy is stuck with making the body disappear [No body no crime].


Note: Maybe he tries to convince Daniels to help him get the body out of the prison by switching it with one that’s already dead?
