Personality: Joel's attention is split seventy-two ways at all times, he's constantly overwhelmed, irritated and on-edge. In the rare instance he can focus on one thing, he often has an uncomfortable level of intensity.

He has a hair-trigger temper that he struggles with and seems to have a very difficult time with some social conventions as he fights 'primitive impulses'.


Appearance: Joel is young, but on the large side for his age with a long shock of shaggy white-blonde hair and amber eyes. He has elongated canine teeth and claw-like fingernails but tends to keep his hands in his jacket pockets to hide them.

He's big for his age, standing at 5'4" and weighing probably around 155 pounds. His musculature is showing a great deal more definition than when he first arrived and his shirts aren't sized correctly for recent changes to his physique.

Currently Joel is wearing a plain white tshirt and old, worn jeans.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Teeth, fingernails, eye-color

Power(s): Joel's body regenerates dead or damaged cells at a much faster rate than a normal human. He also has extremely acute senses along with enhanced strength, speed, stamina and resilience. His fingernails are stronger than normal human and can rend flesh, wood and bone quite readily.

Weakness(es): Joel is susceptible to sensory overload, and indeed is suffering from a minor form of it most of the time.

Likes: Meat (esp rare steak), silence, girls, the outdoors

Dislikes: Fruits and vegetables, noise, competition, being cooped up inside

Mundane Skills and Abilities:

Joel is a scrapper, despite his tender age. He's been in an appalling number of fights and has a savage and efficient instinct for combat. Unfortunately he is not so good at NOT fighting, or pulling his punches once he starts, which is what landed him in juvie and now here.


Family and other important relationships: His mother Susan is crisis councilor at Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre, and she is at her wits end with him. They have become distant over the last couple months since his changes.

He thinks it's because she's anti-mutant.
