Jonathan Pembersley or J.P as he likes to be called was born into money and was very use to money. He was educated at an elite private boarding school called Stowe and was in his second year of a degree in Geology at Manchester University, having failed to get into a "proper" university.

He was on holiday with a group of friends from University when the crisis happened and he still wears the rugby shirt they had made for the trip.
