History: Johnathan is a one-time high school sports hero who made it to college on his skills and stays in college based on his brains. In his small-town high school of Brandon, MS he was a hotshot. He ran track and played baseball, as well as excelling at his classes. But he actually got along with the chess club and the band geeks more than he did the other jocks. He always liked to run. He ran his first 5k when he was 12 and was hooked.  He's done the Boston twice so far. Plus all the marathons he ran just trying to qualify for the Boston.

Johnathon dated in high school but he never had that "we're going to get married and grow old together" kind of love until he got to Mississippi State University and met Linda Saucier. She was from Louisiana and smart as a whip. They started dating within two weeks of school starting and never stopped.  Until that damn meteor fell and changed the world. Linda caught one of the last flights out to go home to be with her folks. As they prepared to leave campus they got split up, Linda leaving in his truck and ended up taking her car. Johnathan got caught in traffic, then abandoned his car and ran the 6 miles to the airport, but he was too late.

Afterward, he ran into town and grabbed some clothes and a few supplies He has picked up some meager supplies, but mostly just runs from place to place and survives.
