Character History: With both a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Medical Research from Stanford University, Claire began her professional career as a pediatrician. She met her husband shortly after graduation, and over the next few years she gave birth to a daughter who is recently engaged and living out west, and to twin boys who were away at Columbia University when the world went to shit. She spent over a decade in private practice while continuing her research part time. For years her life remained relatively unchanged, until one day a few years after her fortieth birthday she met the charming, and powerful president and CEO of a major bio-tech firm in a local Raleigh area coffee shop.
She was soon offered an exciting future in research, complete with promises of wealth and luxurious living virtually unobtainable by even the most prestigious medical professionals. With state of the art laboratories and access to almost limitless funding Claires research flourished, and the company grew richer. But to the company and its CEO she was much more than just an overpaid scientist.
Within a year she had become smitten with her new boss, and CEO, Charles Davenport, and began having an affair with the man, an affair which continued right up until the world fell apart. Charles, realizing Claire's potential gave her a seat on the board answering directly to him. She quickly become a multi-millionaire and was soon running more of the company than anyone but Charles, all while continuing her research. In return Charles demanded that she wine, dine, charm, and even seduce potential clients and business prospects, men and women alike, to help the company grow even more powerful.
Even though it would completely ruin what little was left of her home life, Claire reluctantly agreed and has since racked up list of several hundred lovers that includes some very prominent business leaders and politicians.
With a talent for influencing people Claire, and her company, became even richer. That was until that fateful day when the entire world came crashing down. Claire had been on her way home from work when she ran into Zack.
Now free of her corporate shackles, desperate and nearly alone save for Zack, Claire is determined to finally right her wrongs, and make amends for everything that has happened.
