MerLN is a sentient artificial intelligence and MerGN-A's sworn enemy. After aiding John Arthur in his quest to reclaim Earth, he uploaded himself to act as the operating system of the Wyrmgates. He serves as a guide to knights as they pass through the Breach, ensuring they do not lose their way. In exchange for his guidance, he often ask questions of the knights to help him better understand humanity.

He often projects himself via holo-emitters in the form of a distinguished man of indeterminate age with a full grey beard.
