Captain Rupert Smalls is the chosen Captain of the Thames.  Most of the crew is his own family, with a few adopted and other small family groups. Thames is their collective home.  The original core group are Wreck scavengers who repaired the old cargo ship to escape the asteroid belt to the Titan Moons.  They have staunchly maintained their neutral independence amongst the squabbling Jovian nobles, earning a good, reliable reputation.

At Callisto, while delivering tournament supplies, the crew of Thames got to watch a fellow Wrecker stand tall in mismatched Armour among the proud, well-funded, well-supported Knights.  They were some of the loudest and proudest early supporters.  Sir Brun inspired these fierce independents to join in the rescue, rather than try to run.  They defended the docks to nearly the last, saving hundreds.  During the fight, dead in space, their very own Knight came to their rescue, helping repair their home and personally defending them.

At Avaluna, Thames voted to offer their ship and service, as independent volunteers, to support Brun and Euryleia.  They refit Thames as a carrier.  They've brought on a few more skilled volunteers as well, from the Callisto refugees.  As Brun had stood by them, they'd stand by him as long as he needed, or until they collectively decide otherwise.
