Appearance:  Sir Aberlayne is a slightly careworn halfling woman coming into her prime, with dark brown eyes and light brown hair worn shoulder-length and tightly braided.  When going into battle, she wears a fine mail shirt and bears a shield with Yondalla’s symbol, a battleaxe at her side.  In leisure, she wears comfortable, well-worn travel clothes, always with her holy symbol showing.

Personality:  Sir Aberlayne, or Abby to her brother, is the voice of reason and caution, a rock of common sense with a motherly attitude.  She has a good sense of humor, and sometimes enjoys playing the aloof paladin long enough to turn the tables on a joker.  In battle she’s a fearless rider who’s ready to take the hit for her family or companions, but is not reckless.  She’s not above ambush, clever tactics, or traps if that’s what’s needed to preserve order and save the day.

Background:  Aberlayne’s family was nearly wiped out by a bandit group when she was a teenager.  Finding herself as father and mother to her younger brother, Aberlayne took the shield at a young age so she could learn to protect herself and those around her.  While her brother Dellas was apprenticing as a wizard, Aberlayne took to the road as an adventurer, trying to make Low’verok that much more fair.  Having earned the rank of Blackwarden, she’s returned to help her brother on his first adventure.
