A 40-something man of average height and medium build with the first signs of a beer gut developing. He is bald except for a ring of graying hair (formerly brown) stretching from temple to temple around the back of his head. He wears a traditional SAGE uniform consistent with the other crewmen.

Following the events on Ceres:

Gale's body remains completely hairless, and his skin unnaturally thickened. He still has a single eye, though it has moved to where you would normally find someone's left eye. A nose, mouth, and ears now accompany it. Where his right eye should be, there is a smooth patch of skin that completely covers the socket. He wheezes every now and again, but seems mostly calm. His iris is a stormy violet color, but beyond that there is little amiss. He could probably pass for a normal human if he wore sunglasses.
