Whedabedar'kornari is the self-proclaimed spawn of Smaug, the great fire drake of the north that was slain by Bard, the Bowman, in the last century of the Third Age.  Whether this boast is true or bluster is not yet evident.  The small creature is definitely intelligent, if a bit annoying.  He bears the markings (so far as anyone knows) of other dragons, though he has no wings and has not yet breathed fire as his alleged sire could reportedly do.

Kornari is fiery red with a black ride of spikes down his back and around his face.  He has two white streaks of scales above his eyebrows that grow larger when he is surprised or similarly expressive.  He tends to mouth, be blunt, and has the social skills of a mountain troll.
