Slick is a young and attractive man with the face of a bard, the cunning of a fox, and the silvered tongue of a snake oil salesman.  Rolan is a snarky and over-confident young man in his mid-twenties that has the large personality of someone that has never been caught in a con.  He believes his superior intellect will always help him maintain success over the masses of the dim witted.  Yet somehow, buried deep under his selfishness and pride is a spark of true nobility.  Perhaps it will just take an extraordinary challenge for the snarky spellcaster to realize that he truly cares about someone other than himself.

(Think, "young Han Solo";  The charismatic and selfish "hero" that always wants to know what's in it for me.  Slick is the guy that can talk his way out of tight spots or manipulate others to help him get what he wants.  Yet, in the end, he may just surprise you when he comes in to save the day.)
