The Commander

A strongly built man with a regimented demeanor and style which suggests a previous career in the military. This is further emphasized by his outfit, a practical, light blue, military style greatcoat with grey decoration and a similarly-coloured, high-peaked cap. This uniform gives off an intimidating and authoritarian image when paired with his naturally cross eyebrows, stern jaw, and angry features.

Before gaining his Gifted abilities 'Brett Gondry' served in the military, and was discharged following a friendly fire event that he survived with post traumatic stress- although the motivation of his 'Gifted dream' has stirred him back into action Brett still has a repulsion towards death; even films or images of corpses are enough to trigger his symptoms, which is his greatest weakness. Even after accepting the fact that he cannot succeed in his goals without some 'collateral damage' he is unwilling to actually enact any plan that results in loss of life.

'The Commander' very rarely makes a public appearance in events that do not personally concern him, and he prefers to micromanage his assets from afar from within a high-tech and professionally manned control room. Most of his actions can be felt through his soldiers, and foes should be advised that although Commander's men universally do not have any evidence of gifted abilities they do have access to a high level of equipment and training above the average soldier, as well as a large degree of individual variation, they also all make use of dirty tricks and underhanded tactics wherever possible and swear unyielding alliance to Commander's greater goal: To win all war, and to secure universal peace through undisputed victory.

The Commander has a few recurring resources at his disposal.
For the convenience of other authors here is a short summary of his known men, weapons and assets:

Much of this info should be considered OOC.

Notable vehicles:

Megalodon-
A next generation 'Predator D' drone, armed with a variety of missiles and sophisticated sensor suite. It has a wingspan of 30-meters and is capable of speeds up to 350 mph. It is primarily used for reconnaissance, as opposed to direct combat. Stolen from Letterkenny Army Depot in a heist, not far from Boura.

Leviathan-
A 'Predator D' drone, of the same pattern as Megalodon. The Commander refers to it as 'Megalodons hotheaded little sister' as an injoke to the fact that it has been fielded on fewer missions, and is more often fitted with offensive weaponry.

Van(s)-
The workhorse of Commanders secret supply chains. Each van is entirely unassuming from the outside but is fitted to exactingly high specifications; including bullet resistant bodywork, tracking devices, run-flat tires and a cache of emergency weapons. It is currently believed that Commander owns several dozen of these vehicles, crewed by a legion of getaway drivers.

Specialist Squads:

Zero Comets-
Commanders 'Shock troops'. This unit is composed of soldiers drafted from other units who were deemed too unstable to meet Commanders strict 'no kill' policy. Likewise, this is the only unit under Commanders control that is regularly given permission to use lethal force. They primarily use automatic shotguns and grenade launchers, with a sophisticated but battle-scarred helicopter for transport. The unit received heavy casualties following Namidias's attack on Chicago, and is currently without a leader.

Numbered Brethren-
Composed of five members, this squad refers to each other only by number with 'Brethren One' acting as their lieutenant, and is Commanders non-combat stealth unit. Each member wears a plain jumpsuit and full-head mask that is capable of subtle colour shifts to help blend them into their surroundings with surprising ease, they're armed with only a basic silenced pistol and a electronic stun-glove that doubles as a versatile hacking tool. Bretheren1 and Bretheren2 are apparently a married couple, but the distinct lack of emotion that each member of the unit seems to express makes this fact difficult to discern. Unofficially, this is The Commanders favoured squad.

Rough Riders-
Commanders specialist mechanised infantry. They wear distinctive navy blue bodyarmor are travel by a custom-built black APC. Notably, the unit has a particularly conventional yet professional approach to how they handle their work. The unit mainly uses the same weaponry as the rest of Commanders men, but has an affinity towards the use of pepper-spray and 'electronic needle-rifles' of the same design used by the AGF. The unit is lead by 'Tudor', an older gentleman who gives off a bluff and professional attitude.

Unsorted Squads:

Most of Commanders men are not sorted into specialized units, and instead follow a rough command structure that is altered to suit the needs of specific missions.

Orwell- In his own right Orwell is the 'Lieutenant' of the unsorted divisions. He is in physically excellent shape and is believed to have far above average intelligence, although his thuggish appearance and mannerisms do not imbibe this fact.

Huxley- At only 20 years old, and with a physical appearance making his look far younger, Huxley stands out as looking particularly inexperienced when placed alongside his comrades. Despite this he is one of the few men under Commanders control who has successfully defeated a gifted in single combat. An expert knife-fighter and a slightly unhinged personality make him a dangerous foe. Huxley speaks with a slight southern drawl.

Boye- Sarcastic and cynical, Boye is an espionage expert. A recent injury has made her already cautious nature even more pronounced.
