Pearl was born of an elvish whore aboard the pirate ship Black Night.  Her Bonuwat father was one of the gunners on the ship.  Being born on the ship meant she would be trained to be a pirate from a very young age.  Once she was able to lift a bucket she had helped out for no mouth would eat without chipping in.  Pearl took the seas like a natural.  Her lean body and frame made it easy for her to climb and work in the rigging.

Five years ago in a successful boarding of another ship, her mother and father had both been killed.  Pearl took the deaths in stride though as it was a natural thing when one chose the life of a pirate.  Pearl enjoyed her life out on the water and the experiences it gave.

Until recently she was at Port in Absalom enjoying a few days while her ship was in dock.  Pearl gotten herself arrested. The law was after her for the murder of a noble, course she hadn't done it but her past had caught up to her finally.  She was wrongly accused of the murder and at trial, even with all the evidence to the contrary, she was sentenced to death to happen at sunrise the following day.

Pearl had played out the last option she could muster. Pearl had made very few friends over the years but one of those was the medic on the ship who had come in a few weeks prior.  The man slipped her something through a barred window to her cell.  He told her it would make her seem dead and that he would find her the next day and bring her back.

Not liking her options, Pearl took the drug he had given her, and as he said she 'died'.  It certainly felt that way as well and it was enough to fool her captors.  The next morning they came to get her and found her dead.  They brought her to the mortuary and that was where her 'friend' found her.  He brought her back and then with some clever changing of bodies she was back on the ship and headed out to sea and headed to Port Peril.

Pearl is a gorgeous half-elven maiden.  Lithe with long black hair and always a smile on her face.  Pearl was a talker too, she used her wiles to get herself out of trouble.
