Commonly Known History:

Hay'lee was born to the worst possible case.  Her family was all slaves and likely that was to be her Caste as well but her mother did not want that.  See Hay'lee was born of a tryst and one where a nobleman came and had a good time with his friends in the slave quarter one night.  But her father unlike his friends who accompanied was a good man...or at least not as awful of a sleezeball as the rest of his friends.

Where the rest used their power, prestige and downright brutalness to get what they wanted Hay'don saw a woman he fell in love with and this came to the fact and with that became a year long dating session that he had to keep away from everyone...especially his family.  He even had to keep hidden the pregnancy of Chee (the female) from all as she was a lowly slave working as a cook.

So Hay'don did very well hiding this all from his family for almost a year and even past where Hay'lee was born but this was not to be as eventually the family...and more importantly the father found out what his son was doing and hired someone to clean up his sons stupid mistake and perhaps teach a lesson.  The man sent in was a cold, and calculating man who had a mission but all he was told was to kill the mother...nothing was said about the child and more still no one mentioned words about Hay'don being there.  So when violence ensued the contract killer had killed everyone in the room save for the child and may have did her in too save Hay'don's father walked in on the scene.

Grief stricken he stopped the killer from finishing the child off as this was the only legacy he had.  But this child was not to be accepted in his society, not at this point in time so Abulurd took the child and being a patron of the arts found a family to raise it.  That was at this time the best he could do as this child while the product and only heir to his legacy was still a child of slavery as well.  That would never be accepted, not at this juncture so he set all up.  The story of how this family adopted this child and when and if ever he passed on this child will then be discovered as the daughter of his son and hopefully enough time has passed that what had happened would of been forgotten and the child would become part of his family.

Hay'lee herself grew up in this family not knowing her history although she knew she was adopted having none of the traits her family possessed but at least possessing the aptitude for the arts and especially of music and dance.  As such she took in all the lessons that were taught and expected of her including the ones that did not make sense to her, (ones that her grandfather insisted on) and grew up to become part of the entertaining community.

When she turned 16 is when she found out part of the truth.  Her family had a party catered for this event and Abulurd had even attended providing all the catering and at this is when she met her Aunt as one of the slaves preparing the food.  It was not even the aunt that noticed but Hay'lee that saw the eyes and questions.  Not much was revealed and Abulurd when he found out stopped it as soon as possible as he planned on explaining all when the child was ready.  But it was enough for her to start the questions in the head which continue to this day.
